Metal scrap inspection and testing for composition, grade, and purity, is an important process undertaken before any cargo is imported into the country. The DGFT approved Pre-shipment inspection agency must certify that the cargo being imported is free of any unwanted material such as explosives or radioactive elements. But, metal scrap inspection in itself is more than just a visual inspection on site. During metal scrap inspection, many aspects regarding quality checks need to be considered when dealing with ferrous or non-ferrous metals. Scrap metals are complicated materials to inspect out of recyclables since we need to take into account the impurities, corrosion, and fatigue. Not to mention there needs to be a thorough investigation on toxicities, such as oil and chemical residue that can harm the scrap metal.

We inspect the cargo at the time of loading and ensure that the containers destined for India and free from any hazards. We have our own testing facilities and are authorized to provide Pre-shipment Inspection Certification in 60+ countries. This means we are authorized to check for the presence of arms and ammunition, mines, shells, cartridges, or any other explosive in any form along with radiation (Gamma & Neutron) level and subsequently should carry a Pre-Shipment inspection certificate upon arriving in India.
